REPRESENTING FLORIDA TRADE SINCE 1960
The Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association is the leading trade association for industry professionals in the import and export community.
A Unified Voice for Trade
We convene industry leaders and agency officials to collaborate and gain from each other’s experience. We advance our industry through public-policy advocacy and education. Through actionable training and through leadership, we propel our industry forward to foster both economic growth and increased credibility. Our aim is bold but simple:
To reimagine and transform Florida’s industry ecosystem–and equip aspiring professionals to succeed in it.

History
FCBF was founded in 1960 by a handful of brokers & forwarders.
Since then, we have grown into the most influential and active representative body of the Florida freight forwarding and Customs brokerage community. Through our numerous committees of volunteer professionals, we represent our industry on matters that directly affect the trade arena.
Bridging the Gap
We are committed to fostering communications between the trade community and federal agencies.
This is necessary to expand Florida’s trading communities at the local, state, and national level. FCBF seeks to maximize the ability of Florida to effectively compete for international trade resources and to minimize the barriers for its members. Through constant communication with various state and federal agencies we help by participating in the development of international trade policies.
FCBF members represent the various facets of the international trade industry, each being an authority in their specialized field. Our core members consist of licensed Customs Brokers, licensed NVOCC/OTIs, Foreign Freight Forwarders, TSA-Certified Indirect Air Carriers and/or IATA cargo agents.
Members also include:
- Registered indirect carriers, steamship companies, airlines, trucking firms, railroad firms, stevedores, terminal operators, port associations, and port authorities
- Law firms, CPAs, insurance agencies, realtors, and other service professionals
- Financial institutions
- Governmental agencies on the local, state, and federal levels;
- Trade-related affiliate organizations
